An article from Utne (May 2008)
From the page: My own research has found that people with power tend to behave like patients who have damaged their brain's orbitofrontal cortex (the region of the frontal lobe right above and behind the eye sockets), a condition that seems to cause overly impulsive and insensitive behavior. Thus the experience of power might be thought of as having someone open up your skull and take out that part of your brain so critical to empathy and socially appropriate behavior.

A blog by a reader. Note that there are links to Kay's (the blogger's) favorite blogs. There are indeed a lot of readers out there who not only read but also spend the time to reflect upon. Happy reading!

Digitalized classics
It asks for your name and your email address, but personally the amount of information it requires for registration is acceptable.
A relatively small collection comparing to Project Gutenberg. Only 100 books including only one from Henry James. Yet,it's a good start and I hope the collection would be expanded in the near future.

Attempts to regain the control over the public space. One pillow at a time

Originated from my fellow Torontonians but it has become a movement all over the world. It's provocative, potentially chaotic, but, essentially, fun.
